Simplicity Simplicity Simplicity (Wrong Option)

Sometimes when making music the simplest melodies can be the best ones. When you have a goal the best thing you can do is start. The more you procrastinate the longer it takes to finish that project and accomplish a goal.Β  My song "Wrong Option" was made before I even had a computer. Below you can see my old software for music editing.Β  Even though I didn't have all the tools needed to make my music perfect, I still decided to just start and then figure it out.Β

The Idea of "Ear Candy" and its Use in "Intro to My Theme"

Sometimes within a song it's not the main melody, lyrics, or vocals that make the song feel good and complete, it's the little background sounds that catch someone's ear or the "ear candy". It's the subtle risers that lead into the next phrase, a fun background vocal, a scratch, a one off sound, or an ooo or ahh.Β  Sometimes the little things in the background can draw the most attention in a song.Β

The Concept and Inspiration Behind "Take a Seat for the Road"

"Take a Seat for the Road" was inspired by Wyclef Jean's unique incorporation of several styles and genres in one song, and Snoop Dogg's West Coast Hip-Hop and Rap flow and vocals. I first started with a concept that I thought would be fun and interesting. I wanted an idea that sounded intriguing. Then, one day it hit me, when someone said "take a seat".Β  I thought it would be fun to some how interpret that literally within a song, so I started brain storming concepts to make this a story.Β Β
